A living space at Christ the King Church now serves as a house of prayer for young women in Sioux Falls. In this house, women seek to develop a pure heart docile to the Spirit's touch. Young women give of themselves to each other through intentional relationships and to the Lord through a structured life of prayer.
This house of prayer serves as a place of friendship rooted in the Lord. It helps young women to deepen their prayer life and listen to the voice of the Lord speaking in the silence. It encourages them to use their charisms authentically, to abide in their identity as beloved, to live a life of missionary discipleship, and to build a truly Christian life.
In order to participate in this life, young women can apply and interview. If selected, they will commit to 9-12 months to live in fellowship at this house. Each young woman will agree to a household covenant before the year begins. A structure of life will include a daily morning holy hour, night prayer, some weekday meals in common, and formation. Young women will also be expected to work or attend school full time.
